Association
of Southeastern Biologists Will Meet April 14-17 at U of M

The
University of Memphis, in cooperation with Christian Brothers
University and Rhodes College, will host the 65th annual meeting
of the Association of Southeastern Biologists (ASB) April
14-17. Sessions will be held at the Fogelman Executive Center
and the Holiday Inn at the University of Memphis.
Some
600 participants from all disciplines of biology are expected
to attend. The topics of the 209 oral presentations and 97
poster presentations will range from cell metabolism to landscape
ecology. The plenary lecture on Wednesday night will feature
renowned conservation biologist Daniel Simberloff, who will
discuss "Biological Invasions: A War We Can Win!"
The
ASB is committed to the advancement of biology as a science
by the promotion of science education, research and the application
of scientific knowledge to human problems.
